Curls when exiting the output bin

Issue description

The paper curls or scrolls when exiting the printer. This causes a messy output stack and could possibly lead to a paper jam issue. Click here to view image.

Note: This issue affects the following printer models:

• Single‑Function: MS33x, MS43x, B3340, B3442, and M1342
• Multifunction: MX33x, MX43x, MB3442, MB3442, and XM1342

Solution

1. Remove the tray and load the paper properly. Click here to learn how to load paper in the tray.



2. Perform a test print and check if the paper still curls when exiting the printer.



3. If the issue persists, load a fresh ream of paper and perform another test.



4. Should the paper still curl or scroll, change the paper weight setting to "Light" by following these steps:

   

   1. Access the printer's Settings from the printer home screen.

   

   2. Navigate through; Paper > Tray Configuration > Paper Size/Type > Tray 1 > Tray 1 Type > Light Paper
