How to configure the printer nicknames for Mobile Print email submission in Lexmark Print Management (LPM)

Overview

This document will guide you in configuring printer nicknames which will be used in LPM e-mail submission.

How to configure printer nicknames

1.

Login to the LPM portal by typing this address on a browser: http://<ip address of lpm server or loadbalancer>:9780/printrelease/(e.g., http://192.168.11.3:9780/printrelease/).

Enable “Printer Nickname” tab with these steps:

  • Click the LPM icon on top-left corner of the page
  • Make sure to put a check mark for “Print Nicknames” under Tabs and click OK.

Configure the printer nickname, see sample screen shot below:

Configure “Device to Printer IP Lookup” mobile print solution in the Lexmark Management Console (LMC > Solutions > mobile print > configuration).

NOTE: You can now then specify the printer nickname in the subject line when trying to print from e-mail.
