LDAP Settings for User Portal Disappears After the Lexmark Print Management (LPM) Server Is Restarted

Problem description

LPM 2.6 includes an interface to configure Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) logins for the user portal. This is accessible through the LPM console under Settings > Configuration Access > LDAP. The administrator can configure and test the configuration from this page and once saved, it can be used to authenticate the users in the LPM user portal.

These settings are lost if at some point the Lexmark Solutions Application Server (LSAS) service, or the LDD/LPM workgroup server machine, is restarted.

Resolution

This is currently functioning as designed. The LDAP settings for the user portal needs to be configured in the file idm-config-production.properties found in the \Lexmark\Solutions\apps\idm\WEB-INF\classes folder in the application server or workgroup installation.

The current interface for configuring LDAP in the LPM console will be supported in the future release.
