Print Release

Pages submitted using Lexmark Cloud (for Cloud Print Release) appear as 'Other' under Analytics Report

Issue Description:

End users can print a document to the Lexmark Cloud (for Cloud Print Release) using different methods. The most common method is using the Lexmark Print Management Client (LPMC) and setting it as the print driver on the user's computer.

When print jobs are submitted to the Lexmark Cloud, the Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) type is used to classify the type of job for reporting and analytics. Unfortunately, LPMC does not report the file's MIME type, and the job will be classified as "Other" in reporting and analytics field.

Explanation

When jobs are printed via LPMC and use their print driver, the MIME type is not communicated to the Lexmark Cloud which causes the analytics to classify the job as "Other".

There is an ongoing investigation to see if there are alternate methods of determining the document type at the cloud reporting and analytics level, so the reporting could be improved.
