Overview
The administrator may add new network adapters to the machine where the load balancer or the workgroup LDD is installed. This can cause LDD to stop working after the services are restarted. The services start with no error, but LMC may not be accessible, and devices may throw "LDSS System is Busy" when accessing any LDD profile.
This happens when the newly added network adapter takes priority over the old network adapter.
Solution
Make sure that the correct network adapter is bound with LDD. Perform these steps below to fix issue.
Step | Action | Image |
1 | Check on the adaptor.properties file located in the LDD install path, Lexmark\Solutions\apps\wf-ldss\WEB-INF\classes | ... |
2 | Note down the line that says adaptor.address = x.x.x.x, where x.x.x.x is the IP address used by LDD.
3 | Open the computer command prompt (cmd), type ipconfig/all and hit Enter. Identify the adapter where the IP address is in use.
4 | Go to computer Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings. Press the Alt button and click on the Menu bar, then click on Advanced > Advanced Settings. A new window will pop up.
5 | In the Adapters and Bindings tab, make sure that the first adapter on the list is the one identified in Step 3. If not, move the said adapter to the top of the list using the arrows to the right in that window. This gives it the top priority. Click OK to confirm.
6 | Restart the LDD related services (e.g., apache, apache agent, LSAS) for LDD to work. | ... |
