Unable to Configure Job Accounting in a Linux Operating System Environment

You are unable to configure Job Accounting for any version of the Linux printer driver.

For example, Job Accounting as seen here in an Apple Macintosh environment:

Prerequisites for Job Accounting

• Device Quotas app installed on the printer
• Hard drive installed in the printer
• Client PCs equipped with Microsoft Windows or Apple Macintosh operating system

Explanation and suggested remedy

Linux is not currently supported with the Device Quotas's job accounting feature; however, a special product request (SPR) for this compatibility may be possible.
