Unable to change the printer’s language when logged in as a guest user

What you will see

When you are logged in as a guest, and you attempt to change the printer’s language settings (setting it to any language (B)) by clicking the “Change Language” icon (A) on the printer’s Home Screen, you notice the printer won’t save and take the changes. It still utilizes its currently used language.

NOTE: This method works fine for all user accounts except for the Guest account.

Solution

Ensure that the "Change Language from Home Screen” permission is enabled for the Guest account. Should this issue persist, updating the printer firmware will fix it. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support to acquire the latest firmware.

NOTE: The Lexmark representative might ask for the printer's current firmware level. Please refer to Downloading the latest Lexmark printer firmware for the steps. Once you obtain the file, you may proceed and update the firmware..
