283.05 paper jam when using ADF

Affected Products:

Issue Description:

A 283.05 error appears when scanning documents using the auto document feeder (ADF).

Solution:

1. Make sure the printer firmware is up to date.



2. Send a scan job using an undamaged paper. Check the paper for any damage such as wrinkles, moisture or tears.



3. Check the ADF guides for proper adjustment and make sure the ADF top cover is properly closed.



4. Check the paper path for paper fragments and debris. Clear the paper path of debris or obstructions.
