Lexmark MS911 & MX91x ? Skewed Printout when Paper Is Loaded Long Edge First

What you will see

The resulting printout is skewed when loading the paper in the tray long edge first. This happens regardless of which paper tray is used. On the other hand, the printout is correct if the paper is loaded short edge first. Shown below is the difference between the two paper loading orientations and their resulting prints.

Suggested Remedy

Make sure to test print from all the trays to see whether they exhibit the same behavior. Should the skew happen on all input trays, please call Lexmark Technical Support to set up service for the printer.

If the skew happens only on sheets from a specific tray, then it is most likely due to improper media feeding. Follow the tips below to avoid or minimize skewed print.

  • Flex the sheets of paper back and forth to loosen them, and then fan them. Do not fold or crease the paper. Straighten the edges on a level surface.
