Configuring a Wireless Network from the Operator Panel Results in Error Message

What you will see

When customers attempt to select a wireless network from the printer's front panel, they will either encounter a “network not detected” or “network not available” error.

If the networks are discovered, a subsequent discovery will return no result. Devices that are already configured with a wireless network will also lose their configuration and may freeze if the front panel discovery is attempted.

Recommended solution

Update the printer’s firmware to EC6 (P644) or higher to resolve this issue.

Configuring the wireless networks via the embedded web server will allow the devices to be configured correctly and communicate on the network, but subsequent wireless discoveries via the front panel will cause this to be lost.
