Printing from an AS400 computer is randomly slow. This happens only to the Lexmark MS617dn printer with IPDS card installed in it.

Solution

Step 1. Update the printer firmware engine code level to match the printer current base code level.

Step 2. Replace the IPDS card installed in the printer.
