Scan to Network in Lexmark MX310 Does Not Work on Mac OS 10.10

Overview

The built-in Scan to Network app creates and saves a file in the destination folder; however, the file is corrupted. This happens only when the destination folder is set up on a computer running under Macintosh OS 10.10 version. For the steps how to configure the Scan to Network app, see


NOTE:
The issue applies on the Lexmark MX310 printer model only.

Suggested Remedy

Please contact Lexmark Technical Support to acquire the firmware that will fix the issue.

NOTE:

The Lexmark representative might ask for the printer's current firmware level. Please refer to this link for the steps. Once you obtain the file, you may proceed and update the firmware.
