Colored images with horizontal banding

Troubleshooting

  1. Touch the Status/Supplies icon in the printer’s Control Panel. Check the supply status of the imaging unit or the developers. Replace those that are low or empty.

Proceed with the next step if all supplies still register sufficient amounts.

  1. Press the menu icon on the home screen: Settings > Print Settings > Quality Menu > Color Adjust.

Note:
Color Adjust can be performed at the control panel or the embedded web server (EWS).

  1. Print a test page and check whether print quality defect is still present.

  1. If the image still shows the horizontal banding, then reseat the Black and Color imaging kit and check whether the developer units are properly seated.

Print another test page and check if the defect still appears on the printed image.

  1. Should the issue persist, contact Lexmark Technical Support and have the samples analyzed for troubleshooting suggestions.
