Overview
A 925.05 Fan Stall Error indicates that the MFP has registered a problem with one of the fan units not attaining operating speed. A service call may be required to resolve this issue. Certain rare occurrences, however, such as a power fluctuation or a static discharge in the vicinity of the device, can cause a false 925.05 Fan Stall Error message to appear. In such cases, the error is only temporary and can be easily resolved without service by updating the firmware to the most recent level.
Troubleshooting
The first thing to do when this error occurs is to flash the updated engine code to the printer; please refer to Technical Service Bulletin:Firmware update for waste toner performance improvements, false 925.05 stall errors, and reduced printer calibrations. At the time of writing, the latest engine code level is level E247.
