What you will see
Installation of new BSD toner cartridges on a BSD model printer causes an error message, in which they are unsupported, or the 32.xx error message appears.
Capture the correct error code, or the exact error message that the printer displays.
Verify whether the issue occurred while the printer is Out-Of the-Box (OOB).
- If Yes, ask for the PN/TLI and Serial Number (SN) of the printer and proceed to Step 4.
- If No, proceed to Step 3.
Ask for the BSD toner cartridge Part Number (PN) and Serial Number/Cartridge Date Code to check whether it is supported. If it is not supported, replace the toner cartridge with the correct BSD PN.
If the cartridge is supported and the issue persists, Please contact Lexmark Technical Support and provide the information gathered from the test above to our Phone Support Representatives. This issue may require in-depth troubleshooting guidance or a service action to permanently correct the issue.
