Possible cause

This issue happens when the scanner does not see the markings/calibration points on the flatbed, hence seeing everything on the page as black/blue and not able to capture the image correctly.

Issue Verification

If you are getting any of the sample pages presented above when copying, verify the rest of the symptoms by:

  • Doing Mono Copies: Select Color OFF – The output should be similar with the Black image above.
  • Doing Color Copies: Select Color ON – The output should be similar with the Bluish or Greenish images above.
  • Print the Menu Settings Page of the Printer. To do this, navigate through: Menu > Reports > Menu Settings Page.
    NOTE:
If the issue happens only when “copying”, the result of printing the Menu Settings Page should be okay.

Save the sample copied pages and the Menu Settings Page. Contact Lexmark Technical Support and prepare these documents when the Support Agent asks for them.
