Printer Remains at `Please Wait? State when Faxing with BadgeAuth Enabled

What you will see

When faxing, a printer having BadgeAuth 2.8.7 installed and enabled gets stuck with a “Please Wait” message displayed on the control panel.

This happens when the BadgeAuth is set to enable Copy and Fax without authentication.

NOTE:
An x denotes any number within a given printer model series.

Recommended solution

Update the printer’s firmware to the corresponding version.
