How to clear computer, Flash player and Java cache after updating MarkVision Enterprise (MVE) with latest versions

Issue Description:

Lexmark recommends clearing your computer, flash player and java cache every time you update MVE in order to avoid any performance issues after the update.

This document outlines the steps on how to do this.

How to clear computer and flash player cache


Note:
Stop the MVE Service first before clearing any cache.

  1. Click Start > Open Control Panel > Select Internet Options > Click Delete.

  2. Uncheck “Preserve Favorites website data” > Click Delete.

  3. Click OK to close the Internet options Windows.

How to clear flash player cache

  1. Open Control Panel > Flash Player > Click Delete All.

  2. Check the option “Delete All Site Data and Settings” > Click Delete Data.

  3. Close the Flash Player window.
    Note:
    Should you encounter any difficulties performing the preceding steps or during the MVE update, please contact Lexmark Technical Support.

How to clear java cache

  1. Open Control Panel > Java (32 bit).

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Check Keep temporary files on my computer and select Delete Files.

  4. Check all the options under Delete Files and Applications and click OK.
