Defect Symptom

"Jitter" refers to very fine (~1mm) light or dark horizontal lines that consistently repeat from the top to the bottom of the page.

Troubleshooting
  1. Perform the "Color Adjust" procedure in the "Quality" menu.

  2. Ask the customer to print the "Print Defects Guide" in the "Help" menu and review the print samples.

  3. If the defect appears in a single color (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, or Black), replace the toner cartridge.

  4. If the defect appears in all colors, please contact Lexmark Technical Support for further assistance.
