Discoveries and solution profiles do not distinguish among these classes and therefore designate all printers listed in those classes as e-Task 2 printers.

LDD requirements

During the first policy update after installation or a software patch, LDD installs an Advanced Prompting Bundle (AP Bundle).

This application is required for LDD support and provides prompting capabilities, held jobs support, and security support for these printers with LDD.


You must select No Security for the following Access Controls:

  • Remote Management
  • Create Profiles
  • Firmware Updates.

To change these access controls via the EWS and the Guided Security Setup:

  • Type the printer's IP address in your Web browser to access the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS).
  • Click Settings (Configuration).
  • Click Security.
  • Click Security Setup.
  • Click Access Controls.
