Lexmark Forms Printer 2581

Importing and exporting INA settings

Overview

This article outlines the procedure for saving the device configuration settings if the printer or network adapter requires replacement.

Why Save the Configuration Settings?

Saving or exporting configuration settings is important for several reasons, including:

  • - Time saved reconfiguring multiple macros for multiple paper/form types.
  • - Reapplication of static IP parameters if a replacement printer/network card requires it.
  • - Reduction of down-time in critical printing environments.
  • - Use of UCF file to configure other printers of the same model.
  • - Simplified printer/network card replacement in crucial printing environments.
