Turn off the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet, and then from the printer.
Unpack the mailbox.
Attach the guide bar to the mailbox.
Note: When installing multiple options, attach the guide bar only to the option that is connected directly to the printer.
Position the mailbox on its side.
Insert the tabs of the guide bar into the mailbox.
Slide the guide bar to the right until it clicks into place.
Remove the printer top cover.
Install the mailbox on the printer, and then push it down to make sure that it is securely attached to the printer.
- A maximum of three mailboxes may be configured with the printer.
- When configured with the output expander, the mailbox and output expander may be installed in any order.
Connect the power cord to the printer, and then to the electrical outlet.
CAUTION—POTENTIAL INJURY: To avoid the risk of fire or electrical shock, connect the power cord to an appropriately rated and properly grounded electrical outlet that is near the product and easily accessible.
Turn on the printer.
Add the mailbox in the print driver to make it available for print jobs. For more information, see Adding available options in the print driver.
