Turn off the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet, and then from the printer.
Unpack the staple, hole punch finisher.
Attach the guide bar to the staple, hole punch finisher.
Note: When installing multiple options, attach the guide bar only to the option that is connected directly to the printer.
Position the staple, hole punch finisher on its side.
Insert the tabs of the guide bar into the staple, hole punch finisher.
Slide the guide bar to the right until it clicks into place.
Remove the printer top cover.
Install the finisher on the printer, and then push it down to make sure that it is securely attached to the printer.
The finisher must not be combined with any other options.
Connect the power cord to the printer, and then to the electrical outlet.
CAUTION—POTENTIAL INJURY: To avoid the risk of fire or electrical shock, connect the power cord to an appropriately rated and properly grounded electrical outlet that is near the product and easily accessible.
Turn on the printer.
Add the finisher in the print driver to make it available for print jobs. For more information, see Adding available options in the print driver.
